System Architect

What You’re Going to Do:
As our System Architect, you'll take ownership of the overall technical architecture powering our hospitality ecosystems. You will design scalable, secure, and reliable systems that connect our customer-facing interfaces, booking engines, internal tools, and third-party integrations. This is a high-impact role shaping the foundation for growth, automation, and global scale.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and document end-to-end system architecture across all layers (frontend, backend, data, APIs, infrastructure)
- Define tech stack decisions and architectural best practices to support a high-volume, multi-region operation
- Lead system design for core business platforms including booking management, guest portals, owner dashboards, and automation tools
- Integrate third-party services (e.g., Airbnb, PMSs, payment providers) into a cohesive tech ecosystem
- Work closely with engineering, DevOps, and product teams to translate business needs into scalable technical solutions
- Create architecture diagrams, technical specs, and implementation guidelines
- Ensure systems are secure, performant, and compliant with global data standards
- Evaluate and optimize for maintainability, modularity, and cost-efficiency (especially across AWS or cloud services)
- Set the foundation for future AI/ML features, automation, and data insights tools
Bonus If You Have Experience With:
- System design for property management or hospitality platforms
- Event-driven, microservices, or serverless architectures (especially on AWS)
- API gateway management, queuing systems (SNS/SQS), and scalable data flows
- Cloud-native infrastructure (Terraform, AWS CDK, Kubernetes, etc.)
- Working with booking engines, calendar syncs, and OTA integrations (Airbnb, Booking.com)
- Data architecture for reporting and real-time analytics
- Security frameworks (GDPR, SOC2, OAuth2, IAM best practices)
What We Ask:
- 1 - 5+ years of experience in software or systems architecture
- Strong knowledge of cloud infrastructure (AWS preferred), scalable APIs, and backend design
- Proven track record in designing robust, high-availability systems in a startup or fast-growing environment
- Excellent problem-solving and documentation skills
- Strong communication and leadership to align cross-functional teams
- Experience with fullstack development, databases (SQL/NoSQL), and CI/CD practices
- Fluent in English (written and spoken)
